Shampriti is a platform which was originally created by a few drama lovers who happen to be members of various elite social clubs of Kolkata.
Initially, it was created to develop and increase Bengali drama activities in the club circle of Kolkata and, at the same time, to increase the bonding and fellowship between the members of these participating clubs. That's why the name Shampriti was given. In the following years, gradually, it became a small movement platform for contributing to the field of Bengali drama movement.
